CEO & CREATIVE DIRECTOR
A tiny tot, practising her plies and pirouettes, and learning to master the intricate steps of the traditional folk dances of the diverse cultures that influenced our own multicultural dynamic, Farisai Zanele Spencer fell in love with the dance artform at the tender age of four. Initially a student of the Tobago Academy of the Performing Arts headed by cultural stalwart, Mrs. Annette Alfred, Farisai received her first certification in dance from the Royal Academy of Dancing in England.
Subsequently, under the tutelage of the likes of Roxanne Fung, Ramond Ross and Gregor Breedy, well known choreographers across the Caribbean landscape, Ms. Spencer availed herself of the priceless opportunity to choreograph several pieces in the Tobago landscape.
Passionate about the showcasing and preservation of Tobago's rich and unique cultural heritage, Farisai has over the years, expanded her participation within the sphere of Tobago's Arts and Culture to embrace roles such as that of Mas Designer, as well as Stage Manager, working in the capacity of the latter for several Tobago shows for over 10 years.
The holder of a Bachelor's in Education and a Professional Certificate in Events Management from Arthur Lok Jack, Ms. Spencer gracefully balances her roles of Educator at Scarborough RC School, Co-founder of CRAIONS Children’s Theatre, Stage Manager for the Tobago THETA Company, Production Designer for Bliss Entertainment and CEO of Zanele’s Entertainment Solutions. Hers continues to be a name that is synonymous with the Arts and Culture of Tobago.
